Rewards
Quadropoly score system is quite complex, with many elements being not 100% intuitive. The goal of the system is to reward certain behaviors which would help speed up the learning and improve gameplay for the player in a long run. In this post I will try to describe and explain all challenges and in-game events which affect the score.
Conditions for scored games
Not all games are scored. To be scored the game has be between 4 players, 1 human and 3 AI. Obviously, Internet must be enabled for the game to be scored so that cloud version of the Account could be updated for leaderboards. Furthermore, for AI level Tradie and up External Dice feature in Pro settings must be disabled – this feature allows the player to enter sides for the Dice with no control that those are the sides player got from the real Dice throw. If it was allowed to use that feature, the leaderboards would have been full of 100% winrate people with no place for honest players. Quick Game feature has to be disabled (set to 0) too – those games are too fast to reward player with the same scores as the normal ones.
Quick Start
Selecting Quick Start on a New Game screen starts the game immediately with no notification about the game being unscored if some of the conditions above are not met. On a board screen, player can click on a Menu button to get the Menu panel. The level of the game will be displayed right under the Player’s account, along with his current score and winrate. If this information is missing – the game is unscored. Another way to check: in main Menu screen, click on Load. Unscored games are highlighted yellow, scored are green, and games with no human left (AI only) – red. Red and yellow games could be safely deleted any time with no effect to the score. To get the reason why the game will be unscored before it starts, use New Game button in main Menu instead of Quick Start.
Leaderboards
There are 6 different containers or leaderboards for each account – one for each of the AI levels. That means that for some challenges where progress is calculated across several games, only games from that level are counted: you cannot win 5 games on Student and 5 games on Beginner and get ‘won 10 games’ challenge reward, but you can play your games in any order – the reward will be given when player wins his 10th game on a given difficulty.
Rounds
Furthermore, many bonuses are not getting assigned when game takes more than 20 rounds. On average, 4 Champion AI playing against each other take 6 rounds to complete the game. If it takes you more than 20, especially on lower difficulties, you are not using most of the tactics available – try playing with AI advice enabled and learn how and when to trade and manage your properties. Once learned, you will have much more fun playing the game. And if you ever end up playing the board version with your friends you will be winning close to 100% of games regardless of the luck or the Dice.
Challenges
Here comes the list of all challenges (it could be changed or expanded in future versions):
1) Outlive opponent: player gets 15 scores for every other player bankrupted while he is in the game.
2) Player gets 5 scores for first player whom he bankrupted personally, 3 for the second, and 2 for the third. Additionally, for every player bankrupted by that bankrupt player gets 10 scores. Best possible scenario: Player B bankrupts personally Player C and Player D, then gets bankrupted by Player A. Player A gets 5 + 10 + 10 scores for bankrupting his opponent who bankrupted 2 others.
3) Pro advice – this is a cost of AI advice for the game, to make it fair for people who do not use it. First 3 AI are super easy. By following AI advice every turn (change pick different trades in the list of trades provided instead of always selecting just the first one) any player will be winning at least 95% games with first 3 AI levels. The cost is as follows: 0 for Students, 0 for Beginners, 0 for Tradie, 15 for Entrepreneur, 10 for Monopolist. Games with AI Advice against Champions are not scored.
4) Good effort – player gets 10 scores when he loses the game, but his maximum NET during the game reached certain amount. The exact number gets calculated using many parameters such as initial cash, salary and other bonuses. On close to default values it would be around 5600. The bonus is not given when player was in game for more than 20 rounds.
5) Victory bonus – get 10 scores when you win the game.
6) Won 10 games – get 35 scores when you win 10 (20, 30…) games on that difficulty.
7) Close fight – opposite of a Good effort. Get 15 scores when you win the game and one of your opponents manages to get certain maximum NET during the game. On close to default values, the number is around 4900.
8) Rounds made: you get 28 scores minus 4 for every round you made. Works in pair with Final NET worth bonus (see below). It is not working when player takes more than 20 rounds to complete the game.
9) Final NET worth: get 1 score for every 200 of your final NET above certain number, or lose 1 for every 200 below that number. The number is calculated similar to #4 rule, with default settings resulting in around 7000. That bonus or penalty works in pair with Rounds made, so the sum of those two cannot be negative. If it is, neither of those bonuses are shown. It is not working when player takes more than 20 rounds to complete the game.
10) Winning streak: get this bonus for winning several games of the same difficulty level in a row. The bonuses are as follows: Monopolist: 15, Entrepreneur: 20, Tradie: 35, Beginner: 50, Student: 10. On the second win player gets the bonus above. Third win in a row – the bonus is doubled. Forth and all the following wins result in the bonus being tripled. For example, you will be getting additional 150 scores on Beginner’s level for every consecutive win after 4th, but the loss on that level would break the streak.
11) Master Trader – get 30 scores for every 100 cards bought from your opponents. The progress is counted from game to game.
12) Master Developer – get 100 scores for building hotels on all color sets across several games. This bonus encourages to play on all sets rather than trying to get your favorite one game after game. Only undemolished buildings by the end of the game counted towards the progress of that challenge. The progress is not counted when player takes more than 20 rounds to win the game.
13) Beginners adjustment – ensures player does not get negative results for the game when his scores are below 100 on that level.
14) Game cost – Student: 5, Beginner: 10, Tradie: 15, Entrepreneur: 20, Monopolist: 30, Champion: 40.
15) Player’s order – being the first to throw the Dice certainly gives advantage over other players. To compensate for this, first player gets -3 to his scores, second -1, third +1 and forth +3.
16) New AI level unlocked: +25 scores

Thank you for the information. I was always confused when there was no “rounds made” & “Final net worth”🙄
I seem to be playing same 3 players. How do I change that. I would like to play different ones
Hi Kennyken, to change the difficulty level please tap on AI’s level (if it has never been changed, it would be Student) on New Game screen. A drop down would appear and you would be able to select another level, provided you accumulated enough score (for Tradie and up) or won twice in a row with Students (for Beginner). Please make sure you have changed level for all AI players, otherwise the score and game statistics would still be assigned to the lowest AI level selected. I.e. if you select 1 AI Monopolist, another Beginner an the last Tradie, the game would be counted as Beginner’s game.
What the heck is a “round” — is it a trip around the board, or a set of one turn by each player? Normally this would be an irrelevant statistic, but owing to its importance to your scoring system, it ought to be tracked on the board somewhere (maybe I am just not seeing it?).
Hi Patrick,
1 Round is one circle around the board, i.e. number of times player receives salary. There are bonuses for finishing the game faster than the average for 4 good players, or Monopolist-Champion AI levels, which is 7 rounds. Any game taking longer than 7 rounds has penalties (details in 7. and 8. above). Novice players, especially playing with first AI levels, take much longer to complete the game due to missed opportunities for trading (AI advice can be followed in order to learn).
Rounds are tracked for each player independently and can be found in Stats – > Pie Charts (top right icon on Stats screen).
What’s the idea behind “game cost”? Why does it exist and why does it affect the score?
Hi Philipp,
The reason for the game cost is to increase the weight of the winrate for the score instead of the number of games. With game cost a person with 50 games and 80% winrate will have much higher score than the person with 200 games and 20% winrate. Game cost helps to raise the quality (i.e. skill) of the player versus quantity (number of games played). The rationale behind it is the person, who wins 80% but played only 50 games is much more likely to be a stronger player than one with 200 games and 20% winrate.
The game is great but how come I can never play anyone other then the 3 players you start with and it’s almost impossible to lose, maybe if you were blind yes but anyone who plays and likes the game will never lose. It keeps saying get a higher win rate or win two games with students to be able to play other players, for example network games or just any in general.. I have won every game of quadropoly I have played and game after game with students and it still won’t let me play games with other players. Gets boring with the game being too easy with the same play over and over
Hi Terry, to unlock the second AI (out of 6) the player needs to win 2 games with 3 Students in a row. Does not have to be in the same session, but there should not be unfinished games or losses between those 2 wins. Not all games are counted: the game must be for 4 players, 3 AI Students and 1 human, and some Pro Settings must be turned off (such as Quick Game and External Dice, and they are off by default). To make sure your games qualify with one click, please use a button with 3 arrows in a circle next to GO! on New Game screen – it resets all settings to their defaults and selects highest AI level available at the moment. If that does not work for any reason, please reach out at clevermindgames@gmail.com – I will be happy to assist.
